Wade N. Sisk. Ph.D.
Founder, President & Treasurer

Wade Sisk is a federal grants manager awarding grants supporting chemistry research for 15 years following a position as program manager at the National Science Foundation for 18 months, and a 12-year career in academia where he rose to the rank of associate professor of chemistry. He has previously lived in Japan for four years carrying out research at Tokyo Institute of Technology, Hitachi Research Laboratory (Ibaraki, Japan), the Institute of Physical and Chemical Research (RIKEN, Saitama, Japan), and Shinshu University (Nagano. Japan). Wade is an active member of the US and Canada Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Alumni Association Capitol Hill Chapter, for which he served as the inaugural president and a member of the US Japan Council.

Yasuko Kasai, Ph.D.
Vice-President

Yasuko Kasai is a professor of Global Engineering for Development, Environment and Society (GEDES) Graduate Major, in the Department of Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering, School of Environment and Society, Tokyo Institute of Technology. She also serves as the Research Executive Director National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), and a Fellow of Secretariat of Science Technology and Innovation in the Cabinet office Government of Japan. She holds guest professorships in the Department of Systems Innovation, School of Engineering, the University of Tokyo and in the Doctoral and Master’s Programs in Physics, Graduate School of Pure and Applied Sciences, University of Tsukuba.

Masaru Fukushima, Ph.D.

Masaru Fukushima is an associate professor in the Dept. of Systems Engineering in the Faculty of Information Sciences, Hiroshima City University. His expertise is in physical chemistry and laser spectroscopy.

Masayuki Arai is Senior Regional Director of Asia Pacific Business Development (APAC) at 3E.  


Avril Sisk, J.D.
Avril Ussery Sisk is a strategic advisor, board member, governance expert, and thought leader. Currently, she serves on the Board of Managers at NextUp Solutions, LLC, an information technology company that paves the way for innovation in workforce development and corporate training. In addition, Avril is the immediate past Chair of the Arlington County Economic Development Commission. Prior, Avril served on the boards of many organizations, including as Chair of the Arlington Community Foundation, the Bioethics Resource Group, and Leadership America, North Carolina.

Simone-Jeannelle Sisk

Simone-Jeannelle Sisk is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in anthropology at the University of Illinois Chicago. Her research interests include water resource distribution, political ecology, the Colorado River, environmental social movements, and climate change.
